Logistics & Event Management

A significant part of our logistics business is planning and managing events, meetings, retreats, launches, and even larger engagements like establishing new offices in any African land thousands of miles away. We've become seasoned experts at this, because doing these exact undertakings for ourselves is how we grew.

In other words, our logistical and planning capabilities were developed internally, and organically. We learned firsthand what works, what doesn't work, what components are common to almost all events, and what components need to be fluid and flexible.

We've applied this knowledge to almost every circumstance that involves people and moving parts - events of any type, conferences, seminars, corporate retreats, establishing offices and operations, moving supplies and equipment, and more. We're highly experienced with local regulations and customs, as well as international issues like security clearances and visas. And we're well-equipped to handle almost any size engagement - from 5 to 50 to 5,000 people. We have experience, human capital, and a presence in six continents, and the entirety of Africa is an obvious specialty.

In fact, "Africa" truly is a key aspect of our logistical services. Africa is a large continent, with perhaps more diversity amongst its countries and people than anywhere else on earth. In Africa we have a populace that's decidedly multicultural and varied; nations at all stages of development--all spread across beautiful mountains, scenic deserts; spectacular forests and breath-taking plains.

We know the land, the people, the customs, the challenges, and how they all align themselves on the road to success (and for the road aspect, we sometimes mean that in a completely literal sense!)

We're also a complete service. For example, we have the capability to not only organize and plan your event, but also we can go as far as to create the collateral and presentations; provide access to leaders, experts, speakers, and coaches; procure equipment; arrange transportation and accommodations; and more.

Combined with our other services (consulting, training, staffing, study tours, sector-specific offerings, etc.), KI becomes a true logistics partner, able to ensure your goals are met, whether you are an ocean away or just across the river.

A World Made Smaller

Of course, our logistics and event management services help local organizations here in Africa, but a key component is the "crossing borders" aspect as well. Meaning if you need help here, and you're not from here, we're a perfect partner.

We've successfully conducted events of all sizes in the following countries: Tanzania, the United States, Ghana, Burundi, Uganda, Malaysia, Singapore, Rwanda, Mauritius, Ethiopia, South Korea, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, Dubai, Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. And the list continually grows.

In each and every event, unique challenges were recognized and solved, and local customs were honored (which is paramount when operating in foreign lands.)

While we are obviously proud of our history, we always have an eye on the future, as that's where our destiny will truly be shaped.

Africa has made enormous developments over the past several decades. Increased transparency and oversight in natural resource extraction, engaged people and governments, growing infrastructure, and international interests -- it's all coming together, and is rapidly bringing unprecedented change across Africa.

What are your most pressing organizational challenges right now or in the near future? Are you facing the challenge of delivering bigger and better results with constrained financial resources? Building staff capacity in certain functional disciplines?
