President's Message
Dear Colleague,Welcome to the website of Kilimanjaro International. I'd like to take a brief moment to thank you personally for your visit and to tell you a little about who we are and what we do.
In the most basic sense, our mission is to help developing countries face the challenge of establishing and maintaining national economic prosperity in the face of intense globalization and financial issues. To succeed in this environment, citizens and stakeholders in both the public and private sectors must work together for sustained economic growth while at the same time reducing poverty. In most cases, this requires the combined efforts of several leadership groups: community-based organizations, civil society, and both local and international experts.
That's where we come in.
When government organizations seek to establish the building blocks that are required to achieve public sector transformation and private sector development, we are there to provide high quality technical assistance, guidance, people, training, and more.
When institutions demand accountability, transparency, and integrity in their interactions with citizens and consumers, we partner with them and provide an array of effective consulting and training services. We focus on sustainable economic development and the institutional ability to create continual wealth for societies and citizens.
We maintain offices internationally, including several member firms in Africa and offices in Washington, DC and New York City. No matter where we are needed, we come well-prepared with both local and global talent, and we make progress happen. It's really that simple.
If you are looking for a high-impact approach based on the principle that positive change involves everybody embracing successful models and working together, then we'd like you to join our family of satisfied clients who have supported us over the years.
And to our current clients--we do appreciate your loyalty and pledge to continue to provide you with the services you have come to expect.
Please contact us today to find out how Kilimanjaro International can facilitate your successful transition to the world of tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Greyson L. Kiondo, President
A Quick Look
"My family and I have to live with the outcomes of our interventions," says Kiondo, who lives and works mostly in Dar es Salaam, where his young children are being educated and groomed in the culture that raised him. "Thus, we have a special commitment to the long-term success of our engagements. Our clients have a direct influence on the quality of our every-day life."
"We have been able to introduce a problem-solving methodology that has resulted in satisfied development partners, host-government beneficiary clients, and all stakeholders." Kiondo reports. "Also, I can tell you firsthand that KI's host country consulting and training professionals have benefited by the opportunities presented. Increasingly, they will contribute to their home country's economic, political, and social security; self-reliance and self-respect; and freedom from debilitating poverty."
"The best hope for transitional economies is the growth of dedicated home-country experts who can lead the developmental effort. I envisioned that possibility as I put the company together," Kiondo says now.
"We're not here only to impart conceptual knowledge," Kiondo points out. "We want sustainable on-the-job behavior change. We want to send program participants back to the workplace with techniques they can support and practice - techniques that, over time, lead to organizational performance improvement."
All of our engagements, in both consulting and training, begin with helping clients identify the organizational purpose for the intervention. In short, we have to know where we want to go. In working with our clients, we find that the best results are achieved when an organization is clear about its objectives, and always keeps the end result in mind. That's the roadmap for success.
