Because of our emphasis on leveraging homegrown talent, we have a comparative advantage in promoting sustainable development in our African market. It also means that our efforts are trusted and well-received locally (we can't begin to tell you how important this is). Clients value KI as a long-term development partner who can respond quickly using an extensive network of indigenous African experts who have worked in-house for respected government institutions and private sector companies.
Our member firms, all organized on this model of local management combined with appropriate international expertise, now operate in Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, and Ethiopia -- and we are reaching out to emerging nations around the world.

A Quick Look
As developed nations around the world struggle with current financial and banking issues, Kilimanjaro’s emphasis on developing local expertise gains in value. Twenty-first century experience has shown that the stability of all nations, no matter how prosperous, can be quite fragile, with threats coming not only from international terrorists but from complex local and international environmental, energy, and economic issues. In the end, the real asset (and value) is in the people themselves.
We strongly feel that the security of all nations is best served by each nation achieving stability, good governance, strong internal human resources, and the ability to solve internal problems in an ethical and reasoned manner. Emerging nations that follow this creed invariably work towards establishing independent, internal resources that will stand the test of time. And we intend to help them on their journey.
