You seem to service large entities--government ministries, embassies, and international companies. Do you service smaller companies?
Yes. Sometimes when we discuss our international expertise and focus on helping entities in emerging nations, the range of organizations we help sometimes gets lost. But we service all those who need help in our areas of expertise--indeed; sometimes it’s the smaller startups in developing economies that will eventually make the most difference. We realize this.If you think we can help you, then we probably can. This means we encourage you to contact us. You never know where a conversation may lead.
Do I have to be in an African country to work with you?
Not at all. We do have a definite focus on the emerging nations in Sub-Sahara Africa, but we can work with anyone, anywhere. Kilimanjaro International maintains a presence on several continents and utilizes talent from all over the globe. Why does having global talent matter?
If our focus is on entities in emerging nations, does it not benefit all to bring in talent from developed nations? Our answer is yes it does. Our consultants and trainers have experience with some of the most successful companies and agencies in the world. That international flavor benefits our clients immensely.Do you focus on local talent as well?
Absolutely. That’s really what makes us so effective. We have member firms and affiliates in many emerging nations largely staffed by talented local individuals. By hiring, training, and utilizing local talent, we help local economies because we give talented local individuals the incentive and the means to stay local. Emerging nations develop faster when their best people stay local--we ensure that happens. What is the difference between your TESSA and TESSI training sessions?
TESSA stands for “Training and Experience-Sharing Seminars Abroad.” This means your people will attend training sessions out of your home country. TESSA is generally for specific high-level management personnel and leaders. TESSI stands for “Training and Experience-Sharing Seminars In-House.” This means we bring the training to you. TESSI is generally for technical, supervisory and managerial staff.

Can you explain your staffing services a bit? Who would use it, and why?
Our Contract Staffing Solutions (CSS) is meant for entities operating on foreign soil that need to hire local staff for one reason or another. Often, hiring outside your home country presents legal/immigration issues. In addition, you may not feel comfortable hiring from an unfamiliar local talent pool. Our CSS solves the dilemma by providing temporary local employees who remain on our payroll. This alleviates all paperwork and legal questions, and also provides clients with skilled, pre-screened local talent. Currently, CSS is available in Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya.

What advantages do your consulting services offer?
Our consulting interventions focus on three main areas:- Anti-Corruption, Reform, and Good Governance
- Health and Infrastructure Improvement
- Human Resource Management
By focusing on these three main areas, we address the most important issues that developing nations must face. We utilize a vast array of international experts and local talent, and the solutions we implement are not only effective in the short-term, but also take root and endure the test of time.
